People can say whatever they want about my body - and they will. But it doesn’t exist to be aesthetically pleasing. My legs may look big, that’s because they’re as big as they need to be to keep up with me sprinting through life. These babies can run 10k. They once stayed in a wall sit for 9 minutes. My arms have carried injured people, small children and heavy boxes for my family. They also make it difficult to find jeans that fit, but that’s okay.
I chose to celebrate my body. Not for what it looks like, but for what it’s capable of.
